This was around the same time that I started using, and all those great instructors were also using it and talking about it. What was this “VS Code” and why was everyone and their grandma using it? I’ve been thinking of trying something else, as I was not too excited with PhpStorm, when I stumbled on some industry statistics at I have tried several Code Editors/IDEs throughout my career, starting with Dreamweaver and going through Sublime and lately PhpStorm. Some would argue that 3 monitors are 2 too many, but for me is a constant battle, trying to fit all the software am using in those 3 monitors, in order to avoid using alt + tab to switch between them. Fast forward a couple of decades (3 to be exact) and sitting in my corner office (am actually at the corner of an open-plan space), surrounded by monitors, sipping my coffee, thinking that life is pretty sweet. That was the beginning of my love affair with computers and what later became a full-time hobby. Playing Gorillas Bas, getting immersed into the world of adventure games, writing midi songs and spinning cubes in 3D Studio MAX. Nevertheless, it is totally worth it despite some minor cons.It all started with me getting my first pc, a 386, around the age of 10. However, normal software developer won't need anything more. Also VSC is not as powerful or advanced as market leading IDE company (with paid IDEs). Maybe I just didn't know enough how installers work. I had to download it again, until I got mad and I searched why is that happening -> after downloading System Installer, everything runs smoothly - no more quiet disappearance. I downloaded User Installer (cause it was first) and two times after ~two months, VSC just disappeared from my computer. Unfortunately, windows has two installation versions: User Installer and System Installer, and there is no description on what are they representing on download page. If not it is always possible to enter plugin 'shop' and download missing functionality. It contains almost everything that normal user need. To be honest, it is amazing alternative for all paid IDEs that are on the market.
